Cost Control Specialist (Chicago) – Remote

Position Overview

As the Project Controls Cost Specialist, you will be responsible for managing project budgets, provide monthly financial reporting, and support Project Management during development and construction phases for our onshore renewable or transmission projects. The Senior Analyst role will be heavily focused on collaborating with key stakeholders to maintain an accurate project cost forecast, facilitate procurement processes, and produce budgetary status reports.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to provide the project’s latest Estimate at Completion cost forecast, reconcile project expenditures, and lead monthly budget management reviews.
  • Perform monthly project cost related reporting to the team and management’s review to ensure that expenditures are kept within the project budget.
  • Monitor and proactively identify financial risks, opportunities, and mitigation strategies to ensure the project is executed within budget.
  • Perform and manage project financial activity of purchasing processes including setting up new suppliers, creating purchase requisitions, managing purchase orders, invoicing, and ensure timely payment distributions in Oracle Fusion.
  • Responsible to control and monitor project total expenditure including verifying and checking of invoices and claims from suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure that all project expenditures are captured and properly recorded.
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports, as directed by management
  • Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, finance, construction, or a related field
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in Project Controls, Project Management, or Finance/Accounting
  • Experience with project coordination and management of projects with multiple levels of interface between vendors, internal staff, and other stakeholders
  • Able to travel up to 10% of the time

Roles & Responsibilities:

Project Controls Specialist will be responsible for leading the project controls processes with the internal project management team to execute project deliverables within budget and schedule.

  • Responsible for schedule management, earned value management and cost management.
  • Responsible for engineering, procurement and construction planning, scheduling, logistics and cost control.
  • Analyze project controls reports, present findings and provide recommendations to the project controls team.

Project Cost Analyst (Conshohocken, PA) – Remote

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Provide project controls cost engineering support to Directors, Manager of Projects, Project Managers, Sr. Project Cost Analysts, contractors and other key team members

• Assist in the development and monitoring of annual budgets, actual and forecasted costs for transmission, substation, distribution, and gas projects and programs

• Utilize Asset Suite 8 (AS8) to support current and future work with respect to budgeting, financial forecasting, actual cost tracking, project authorization, work management, contracts, and material tracking

• Attend required meetings and reach out to project stakeholders for detailed project information

• Identify project/program budget, forecast, and authorization issues early and assist in developing resolutions to meet project metrics

• Assist in the development and continued monitoring of the budgets for transmission, sub-station, distribution projects and programs

• Monitor, track, and report project budgets, forecasts, accruals, and actuals (20%)

• Track project and program financial risks and opportunities and provide detailed analysis of variances to budget, quarterly plan, and month over month variance analysis

• Support project management at resulting financial challenge meetings

• Develop, organize, and present project and program performance reports for both internal and external use

• Participate in monthly forecasting and accrual meetings with Sr Project Cost Analysts and Project Managers

Qualifications:

•Bachelor’s degree in Business or Technical Field

• Job Related/Experience: 2 – 5 years related experience, or in lieu of Bachelor’s degree, a minimum of 6 – 9 years business experience is required

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Processing Asset Suite 8 (AS8) items. Includes Contract Requisitions, Contract Payment Authorizations, Contract Change Requests, and Vouchers.
  • Reviewing Contract Proposals to identify work scopes and costs
  • Reviewing Invoices for accuracy and appropriate charges
  • Tracking material delivery status and location
  • Assisting in schedule development, tracking schedule milestone adherence by other task owners

Project Manager (Conshohocken, PA) – Remote

Roles & Responsibilities include:

Project Manager to oversee day-to-day operations from pre-construction through project completion. The Project Manager is responsible for managing the construction project safety, quality, schedule, cost control, contracts, subcontractors, suppliers, proposals, estimates, documentation turnover, client relations/management, field staff and other duties required to execute Program Management projects.

  • Responsible for the oversight of day-to-day construction activities and the successful execution of a single or multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Provide direction and participate in project planning, scheduling, estimating, cost development, and establishing critical project objectives.
  • Develop new and manage existing client relationships while interfacing with the client for proposal and project related items.
